Things To Do

The biggest attraction for many of our guests is the Peace and Quiet of Mangrove Cay. Life is very easy going and carefree on our island. Fishing and sponging are the main industry of our people. Many “older” Mangrovians are ready to “spin” many a yarn of the old days on the sea. Nature walks attract many visitors. In the “bush” you will find, under the supervision of our wonderful guides, wild orchids, bat caves, duck ponds and many of God’s wonders just waiting to show off for you. Blue Holes sit close to shore and out off the island waiting for snorkeling swimmers or a dive. Mangrove Cay has become very famous for our bonefish flats. The “big one” is just swimming around out there waiting for you to catch and release. Nature Walks, Diving and Bonefish trips are available, on Mangrove Cay and can be arranged.

One of the most enjoyable days can be spent walking the shoreline and picking up wonderful shells and seeing many of the sea’s “little” creatures, such as starfish, baby crabs, possum fish and many other little surprises.
